Boys Town Overview
Boys town orphanage has been started during 1974 under the Diocese of Mananthavady. The main objective of the orphanage is to create a positive living environment in which the abandoned and neglected children feel at home and cared for, as a basis of social and professional development. The mission is to help the helpless, hopeless and hungry orphans and semi orphan children with free food, free shelter, free education, free medical assistance and so on, irrespective of cast, creed, class, religion and race. The orphanage is recognized by Kerala State orphanages control board. We have the facility of 33 children. At present there are 25 students in our institution. The inmates are studying at Govt. HSS Thalapuzha which is five kilometers away from Boys town. Two priests, two sisters and two other staff members are serving the children at presently. Not only we are motivating our children in their studies but also extracurricular activities like sports, arts and other creative learning. We provide, seminars on various social issues, special practices in oratory, PSE coaching, retreats, classes on moral teaching, leadership training programmes, etc. To conclude, we obliged and indebted to you all, volunteers, supporters, well wishers, sponsors, and staff as well my colleagues, trustees and members of advisory board, without whom it would not have been reached at this stage.
